Shane Perkinson

Raised in Colorado and South Dakota, Shane Perkinson completed undergraduate degrees in Theology from Canadian Mennonite Bible College and Political Studies from the University of Manitoba.  In 2002, he decided to spend one year teaching English abroad to gain a deeper appreciation of the cultural and socio-economic differences of our world.  He chose Hanoi, Vietnam, and would ultimately spend the next four of six years working in Hanoi discovering the richness of experiences available in Southeast Asia.

Shane’s love of Vietnam and interest in peace, cooperation and human rights through the practice of international affairs led him to SAIS where he is a first year M.A. student concentrating in Southeast Asia.  Shane hopes to use his education at SAIS working with the U.S. federal government or multilateral organizations.
