Ong Ai Ghee

Ong Ai Ghee is currently completing a Master's in International Relations at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she concentrates in both Southeast Asia Studies and China Studies.

Prior to SAIS, she was at the Hopkins Nanjing Center (HNC) in Nanjing, China, where she obtained a graduate certificate in American and Chinese studies. A Singapore national, Ong received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS). After graduating from NUS, she worked as a strategic development executive with a government-linked corporation in Singapore, where her work focused on market research, corporate planning and business development in the Asia-Pacific region.

She speaks fluent Mandarin, conversational Cantonese and novice-level Indonesian. She spent the past summer as a research assistant for a Member of Parliament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, researching and preparing for the parliamentary debates and foreign relations matters.
