Trinh Nguyen A 2006 graduate of University of California of Los Angeles, Trinh Nguyen earned his undergraduate degree in psychology. Her interest in Southeast Asia and international affairs developed from experiences living and studying in Vietnam and Japan. Prior to SAIS, Trinh worked as a administrative coordinator at Lending Mart, a mortgage company in Southern California, as well as an English teacher in Chiba, Japan. During the summer of 2008, she worked for Excelcius Academy in Fountain Valley, California. Her work consisted of developing curricula for the mathematics section of the SAT and teaching low-income Vietnamese American children fundamental English and mathematics skills. Now undertaking her first year of study at SAIS, Trinh is working toward his M.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Southeast Asia. With braod experience and wide exposure to people from different cultures and backgrounds, Trinh plans to utilize his academic experiences at SAIS to pursue a career in international education policy. |
