Seth Kane

A 2003 graduate of Brown University, Seth earned his undergraduate degree in Human Biology: Evolution and Ecology.  Seth’s decision to pursue a career in international affairs stems from growing up in Geneva, Switzerland and studying abroad in Thailand during his junior year of college.

After graduating, Seth interned with the Carter Center’s Conflict Resolution Program in Atlanta, Georgia, researching the political situation in Nepal.  He then went to Thailand for two years to work with Lao and Burmese ethnic minorities and migrants.  Before attending SAIS, Seth worked with the Conflict Resolution, Research and Resource Institute in Tacoma, Washington for two years focusing on conflicts in South Asia and North Africa.

Now in his first year at SAIS, Seth is pursuing an M.A. in International Relations with concentrations in Southeast Asia Studies and International Economics.  Seth plans to use his time at SAIS to develop skills for a career in government.
