Background:
Bronson Percival served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer in South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. As a professor at the U.S. Naval War College, he taught courses on strategy and policy, and a seminar on modern Southeast Asia. After the 9/11 attacks in the U.S., he helped the Department of State focus on terrorism in Asia.  Percival is now a senior advisor at a federally funded research institute. He has written a book on the implications of China’s rise in Southeast Asia, testified before Congress, and addressed innumerable seminars on Asian and terrorism issues.
