The SAIS Pakistan Fund provides integral support to the South Asia Studies program to meet the following goals: developing a more sophisticated understanding in the U.S. of Pakistani society, culture and policy; placing the study of Pakistan in a multi-disciplinary framework; and creating networks linking U.S. scholars and policy practitioners to their counterparts in Pakistan.
The South Asia Studies program works to achieve these goals through coursework offerings, conferences and seminars, U.S.-Pakistan student and scholar exchange, and discussions with policymakers and the media. The program depends on the support of the Pakistan Fund for the following key programmatic features: - Visiting Faculty from Pakistan
- Pakistan Speakers' Forum
- Critical Issues in Pakistan conference series
- Luncheon Seminar series
- Student Fellowships
The program is seeking resources to support the study of Pakistan at SAIS. To help support this important effort, please make an online donation by visiting: www.sais-jhu.edu/support.
