Background:
Prakash Loungani has been on the staff at the International Monetary Fund since 1998, after stints at the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the University of Florida. He has been an adjunct professor at several area universities including SAIS. He holds a Ph.D in economics from the University of Rochester. His articles have appeared in leading academic journals, and in newspapers and magazines including The Financial Times, Business Times (Singapore), World Economics and Reason.
