Students are responsible for finding and/or maintaining their own health insurance coverage during the summer program. Payment Procedures Payment in full is required for all programs no later than Friday, May 16, 2008. Tuition payments should be made electronically via https://isis.jhu.edu. Payment also can be mailed or made in person to the Office of Summer Programs. SAIS accepts MasterCard and VISA as well as checks, money orders and cashier's checks made payable to Johns Hopkins University-SAIS. No cash payments will be accepted. For bank wire transfer information, contact the SAIS Business Office at 202.663.5661. Students will be dropped from courses they are registered in if payment has not been received by the deadline. Students who have been dropped for failure to pay, but who attend class without reenrolling, will be held responsible for the tuition charges, the appropriate late fee and may receive a failing grade for the course. Financial Assistance SAIS does not accept applications for financial aid from visiting or non-degree students. Many employers provide full or partial tuition assistance as a benefit to their employees. To take advantage of this opportunity, check with your personnel office. Many veterans, active-duty service personnel and their family members may be eligible for educational assistance through the Veterans Administration or their local military base education center. Graduate students enrolled in the Summer Language Institute may be eligible to receive financial assistance through the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) program. To apply for this fellowship, see the financial aid representative at your primary graduate institution. Students from other schools who are receiving financial aid should check with their financial aid office to determine whether any aid may be applied toward tuition for SAIS course work. Contact the Office of Summer Programs for more information. Refunds Students will only be eligible for tuition refunds after submitting a completed Drop/Add Form to the Office of Summer Programs.
