Pre-Term requires a full-time commitment for the duration of the program. are held everyday or every other day. In addition, students should plan on attending economics in the evenings and on weekends. Regular attendance is strongly recommended. Pre-Term students should also make every effort to attend the held throughout the program. These events include lunches with deans and faculty, Career Services presentations and happy hours. An updated schedule will be given to all participants when they check in at SAIS on the first day of the program, Monday, July 28, at 7:45 a.m. Course syllabi will be distributed at this time and textbooks will be available for purchase. All classes begin that day. Here are some additional scheduling notes: - Microeconomics is held every weekday; there are 18 class sessions plus two midterms and a final exam.
- Accelerated Microeconomics is generally held four weekdays per week; there are 13 class sessions plus one midterm and a final exam.
- Macroeconomics is held approximately every other weekday; there are 13 class sessions, including two quizzes, plus a final exam.
- ESL is held every weekday morning and on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:30-3:30 p.m., and includes a final exam.
- Registered Pre-Term students will receive an e-mail in early July with their class assignment and room location as well as additional program details.
