
Angelika Führich, Ph.D. Professor of German and Head of the SAIS German Program Studied History, Political Sciences and Sociology at the University of Augsburg, Germany, and German Studies at the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D. in 1989). As Assistant Professor, she taught at Smith College, University of Iowa and Bryn Mawr College, and has directed the SAIS German Program since Fall 2000. She is the author of Aufbrüche des Weiblichen im Drama der Weimarer Republik (1992) and of numerous articles in German 20th Century Cultural Studies, Political Culture, Immigration, Literature, Theatre and Film.
