Proficiency Exams:
Proficiency exams are administered the week before the beginning of language classes in the Spring and Fall semesters, and also the week before the beginning of reading period in the Spring semester. In order to be eligible to take the proficiency exams, you must meet the following criteria:- You must be enrolled or have completed the fourth semester of Arabiclanguage instruction (Intermediate Mid-II) in D.C. or Bologna; or
- You need to pass the Arabic placement test and pass the oral placement interview.
Steps to Take Before the Proficiency Exam - First, make sure you are eligible to take the exams.
- If you are eligible, sign up for the exams in Room 319 of the Rome Building.
- Please bring an ID to the exams. You will need to show up 15 minutes before your oral exam.
Placement Exams: All new students with a background in Arabic need to take the Arabic placement exam in order to be placed in a class. Proficiency Results Fall 2011 |
