Michael Toman, Ph.D. Adjunct Professor of International Relations Mike currently is Director of the Energy, Environment and Economic Development Program at the RAND Corporation. From 2003-2006, he was a senior economist at the Inter-American Development Bank. Before that, Mike worked for many years as a senior fellow at Resources for the Future (RFF), including a stint as director of its Energy and Natural Resources Division. His current focus is on issues related to energy, climate change, and sustainable economic development. Mike served as a senior economist on the staff of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers (1994-96), advising the Council on policy issues concerning natural resources and the environment. In addition to being an adjunct faculty member of the Nitze School, Mike teaches at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mike received his doctorate degree in economics from the University of Rochester. |
