Charles Ebinger, PhD
Adjunct Professor, Johns Hopkins University - Global Electricity Markets

Dr. Charles Ebinger is Director of the Energy Security Initiative and a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution. He specializes in international and domestic energy markets (oil, gas, coal and nuclear), the geopolitics of energy, and nuclear non-proliferation, with a particular focus on the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. Ebinger has served as an energy policy advisor to over 50 governments. He has conducted numerous projects with the World Bank, the EBRD, the ADB, and USAID, among others. Dr. Ebinger earned his PhD from Tuft University’s Fletcher School of International Law and Diplomacy.
