The Center for Academic Technology Our mission is to: 1. Promote the effective use of technology to support SAIS’ mission 2. Enhance student learning through the use of forward-thinking, pedagogically appropriate technologies in both physical and virtual space 3. Integrate technological tools, hardware, and software into faculty curricula wherever possible 4. Provide comprehensive instructional training and support to faculty in and out of the classroom 5. Foster an academic atmosphere in which technology is a significant and respected presence 6. Empower constituents to explore new areas of academic technology of interest to them 7. Continually assess the effectiveness and trajectory of academic technology at SAIS 8. Provide leadership in cooperation with other departments to ensure that SAIS sets and achieves ambitious technological goals 9. Ensure that the institution remains current with new modes of academic technology 10. Maintain cooperative relationships with peer institutions vis a vis academic technology 11.
