Faculty Advising Advising implies mutual responsibility between faculty and student. Faculty have assigned office hours and are frequently available at other times. It is a student's responsibility to know these hours and to take the initiative to make alternative arrangements. Every effort has been made to assign M.A. students to a faculty member who has expertise in their program of interest. However, if you like to change your adviser, contact the Registrar's Office. Professor Frank Weiss is available as the principle adviser for the International Economics program for the 2006-07 academic year. For the 2007-08 academic year, the principle adviser for the International Economics program will be Professor Cristino Arroyo. The program is located on the seventh floor of the Bernstein-Offit Building at 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW. General Advising Students may receive general advising and support from the Director of Academic Affairs and the Associate Director for Student Life. E-mail saisadvising@jhu.edu with questions or to schedule an appointment. All M.I.P.P. students and M.A. students whose last names are in the first half of the alphabet, should contact Julie Hitt, the Director of Academic Affairs, in Nitze 415. M.A. students whose last names are in the second half of the alphabet should contact Sarah Jankowsky, Associate Director for Student Life, in Nitze 202.
