The entire city of Washington, D.C., has traditionally acted as an extension of SAIS’s main campus. SAIS is close to the White House, the Capitol, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and its neighbors include think tanks, embassies, and corporate and federal offices. This proximity to power—and ready access to policymakers—creates rich academic and professional resources for students. The main campus is located on Massachusetts Avenue on Washington, D.C.'s Embassy Row in Dupont Circle. SAIS is just across the street from the Brookings Institution and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and next to the Center for Global Development and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. |
